How to set up packaging artwork so it prints correctly

Every job starts from a die line: a vector template showing cut, crease and glue areas. Build your artwork on layers above it and never move the die line itself.

Add 3mm of bleed on every outside edge and keep critical copy at least 5mm inside the cut. Folding cartons shift slightly during die-cutting, and that margin absorbs it.

Convert artwork to CMYK before you sign off. Saturated RGB blues and greens can drop noticeably in offset print; if a brand colour is non-negotiable, specify it as a Pantone spot.

Supply fonts as outlines and images at 300dpi at final size. A 300dpi logo scaled up 400% is a 75dpi logo.

Send us print-ready PDFs with the die line on its own layer and we will send a digital proof within one working day.
